Swabalamban-2018: Free Training Programme started in SOT, ADBU



Swabalamban-2018 has started in School of Technology (Don Bosco College of Engineering and Technology), Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU) at its Azara Campus on 10 December 2018. Swabalamban is a free Skill Development Training Programme organized annually by ADBU and is a part of the regular social commitment programmes of the University for the unemployed youth of the vicinity of its campuses with an aim of empowering them to become self-dependent.

This year, the University is offering 5-days free training in various areas like Electrical House Wiring, Solar Powered LED lamps, Plumbing, DTP & PC Maintenance, and Welding, Fitting & Blacksmithy. A total of 47 participants is undergoing the training which is being conducted jointly by the departments of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. ADBU team hopes that such program will be indeed a real aid to the youth empowerment and believes that it is an initiative to prepare skilled human resources towards Government's Make-in-India dream.
