An Inter College Electrical Quiz Competition (ICEQC-2017) was organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering on 22nd April, 2017.
The main objective of the event was to popularize Electrical and Electronics Engineering amongst the students and to motivate them towards this domain of engineering. Mr. Jyoti Kumar Barman, Assistant Professor of the Department was the quiz master.
A total of 17 teams from different engineering colleges and universities participated in the quiz, out of which six teams were selected for the final round. The final round teams were named after pioneers of electrical engineering, viz., Ampere, Tesla, Faraday, Bose, Franklin and Edison.
Kumar Shivam and Jyotish Kalita of Guwahati University won the first prize, while the team of Dhiraj Sharma and Rahul Roy and the team of Ankit Bhattacharjee and Ankur Dutta from Assam Engineering College bagged the second and third prize respectively.
The Head of the department, Prof. Shakuntala Laskar sponsored the event.
