Urgent: EEE-8 Major Project Grand Viva

Viva and Presentation will start from 9:30 am on 17th May. Two panels will be conducting the evaluation parallely. Students must appear in both panels.
Panel 1: Grand Viva and Demonstration (starting from Group-1, serially; at Departmental common room)
Panel 2: Presentation on Project (starting from Group-6, serially; at Room no. 128)

Be present at 9 am.Reports are to be submitted to Panel 1.

Dear Students

You have to submit following copies of project report:
  1. one copy to department: all certificates, declaration and acknowledgement will be for the whole group
  2. one copy individually for each member of your project group: Only Cover page and Inside Cover page will be for whole group, rest will be for individual student
  3. one copy for your guide: all certificates, declaration and acknowledgement will be for whole group
For the whole document,
  • Font: times new roman,
  • Page size: A4
  • Size: 12 (except headings, figures and tables),
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Page Margin: Left→3.5 cm/1.38″, Right→2 cm/0.79″, Top→3.5 cm/1.38″, Bottom→2 cm/0.79″
  • Each page in the report (except the cover page and inside cover page) is expected to bear a number. Only one side of the paper may be used.
  • The first line of each paragraph must be uniformly indented one centimeter.

EEE department organizes ICEQC-2017

An Inter College Electrical Quiz Competition (ICEQC-2017) was organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering on 22nd April, 2017.


The main objective of the event was to popularize Electrical and Electronics Engineering amongst the students and to motivate them towards this domain of engineering. Mr. Jyoti Kumar Barman, Assistant Professor of the Department was the quiz master.

A total of 17 teams from different engineering colleges and universities participated in the quiz, out of which six teams were selected for the final round. The final round teams were named after pioneers of electrical engineering, viz., Ampere, Tesla, Faraday, Bose, Franklin and Edison.

Kumar Shivam and Jyotish Kalita of Guwahati University won the first prize, while the team of Dhiraj Sharma and Rahul Roy and the team of Ankit Bhattacharjee and Ankur Dutta from Assam Engineering College bagged the second and third prize respectively.

The Head of the department, Prof. Shakuntala Laskar sponsored the event.
