To bridge the industry-academia gap, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), School of Technology, Assam Don Bosco University, organized a talk on “Global IT Industry as a career option for Electrical and Electronics Engineers” for its BTech & MTech on January 3, 2021. The main objective of the talk was to make the students aware of the multi-disciplinary opportunities of electrical and electronics engineering in the field of IT.
The invited talk was delivered by alumni of the department Mr. Aditya Upadhaya, currently based in UK as a senior Software developer in Coforge UK Limited & Santander Tech UK. Mr. Upadhaya in his talk, who is also an author and entrepreneur, and has written many books, presented an overall idea of the Global IT scenario. The presentation started with a brief introduction of various computer languages and the platforms to be used in the present as well as in near future. Further, he demonstrated the basics of the low-code automation platform 'Appian' for interface designing and also mentioned the importance of java, C++, python, cybersecurity, ethical hacking etc. Mr. Upadhaya concluded his talk by highlighting the various global options available for EEE graduates in the field of IT and software industry.
